Schedules
The following schedule will be followed during distance learning.
Monday
1 hour of live instruction (Google Meet)
Distance learning assignments
Tuesday - Friday
Morning: 45 minutes of live instruction (Google Meet)
Lunch Break
Afternoon: 45 minutes of live instruction (Google Meet)
Distance learning assignments
Attendance
Distance learning is mandatory, not optional. Students are required to attend the Google Meets, as well as complete their distance learning assignments on Google Classroom. Attendance will be taken every day by the teacher, and students will be marked absent if they are not present.
Distance Learning
Students will be participating in distance learning starting August 10th. Students will complete assignments on Google Classroom, and attend live Google Meets with their teacher each day. They can use a school issued Chromebook, or other device to complete their assignments.
In addition to the activities in Google Classroom, please work with your child EVERY NIGHT on the following tasks:
Practicing sight words from the word list.
Reading with your child for 20 minutes and asking them questions about what they are reading.

Please remember to update your students information and emergency contacts if needed.
Grading Policy
The assignments in Google Classroom will be graded. When it is graded you and your child can check the grade in Google Classroom.
All assignments from the week will be moved to the topic titled "Past Assignments" on Google Classroom. The students will have an additional week to complete these late assignments for limited credit.
If the assignments are not completed within two weeks, the students will be given a zero for the assignment.
All assignments are due by Friday at 3:00 PM of the current week to recieve full credit.
Students will be given a report card three times a year with letter grades, as well as teacher comments.
