Year 13 Course Selection

Before you select:

• Read through all the choices.

• Be aware, if necessary, of what subjects you may need for a particular pathway you are interested in, including the University Entrance requirements. 

When ready:

• Go to your KAMAR Portal --> Course Selection --> Read and follow the instructions at the top of the page. 

You will:

• Select  FIVE Mastery courses and three or four Reserves. 

• Select ONE Puna Wānanga.

Note: If you have NOT achieved your Literacy and Numeracy corequisite through either the CAAs or tagged Standards you may need to alter your course selections to include a course or courses that will support you to meet this requirement. This can be done next year at Course Confirmation in January.  For the time being, select Mastery courses based on the assumption that you WILL have achieved the Lit/Num corequisite by 2027.

If you will be in Year 13 in 2027, but feel you would be best served by enrolling in a SPECIALIST or EXPLORE course or courses, select the relevant Mastery course(s) on the KAMAR web portal, but complete this separate form.
