The Intermediate Sports Camp is a week-long camp, held at Totara Springs Christian Centre, in Matamata. Their website is; https://www.totarasprings.org.nz/page/intermediate-sports/
In 2023, Rototuna Junior High School has been invited to compete at the Bay of Plenty Sports Camp, held from the 26th - 30th June. We will be taking a team of no more than 36 students to compete against nine different schools, in over 30 different sports across the week.
This camp is INVITE ONLY.
Students are selected for this Sports Camp through a trialling process that takes place early in 2023. From this, a team that is suited to the camp is selected and invited to attend the Sports Camp.
Committing to the Sports Camp team involves committing to all trainings and meetings. We often have over 100 students trialling for this team.
The selection criteria for Sports Camp, includes but is not limited to;
Attendance at trials and training
Behaviour across the school
School attendance
Discussions with Advisors/Module teachers
Staying up-to-date with school work
The cost of the Year 7 & 8 Sports Camp will be roughly $250. However, students will be expected to own (or purchase) a school hoodie, and the Sports Camp polo, so this cost may increase.
More information will be available in Schoology, and announced at assemblies, early in 2023. If you have any questions about the Year 7 & 8 Sports Camp, contact Cam or Blair - eotc@rhs.school.nz
