Getting to Know Mrs. Grim!
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I know we will have a great year and I look forward to working with your children.
I have been teaching for 41 years so I truly love what I do! I have been at Rhodes for 22 of those years. I am a graduate of Valparaiso University and also have my masters in Reading.
I am not a native to the Midwest, being born in New York and growing up in New Jersey. I moved to Chicago after college and have been here ever since then.
Teaching is a family thing as my husband Dave is also a teacher. I have 3 grown children, who are all married, and 4 grandchildren who melt my heart!
Some things that I love to do in my free time are: read, sew quilts, camp, hike, garden, and spend time with my family.

Getting to know Mrs. Urban
This will be my 24th year teaching. After graduating from Loyola University, I taught various grades at Rhodes for 13 years, took some time off to stay home with my kids, and came back teaching 5th grade 11 years ago. I really feel it is a wonderful age to work with.
I have 3 children named Elizabeth, Caitlin, and Sean. Elizabeth is working as a journalist, Caitlin is a junior at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and Sean is a freshman at Northern Michigan University.
I love taking our dog for long walks, sitting around a camp fire in the woods, and traveling anywhere!
