The RIT Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) is a state-funded grant program that provides academic enrichment to underrepresented students in grades 7-12 through activities such as hands-on workshops, tutoring, mentoring, college and career exploration, field trips, summer camps, and leadership training. STEP assists students in preparation for careers in science, technology, math, health-related fields, and state licensed professions. Currently, RIT STEP offers services and activities to eligible students from Edison Career & Technology High Schools, Roth & Burger Junior High Schools, Rush-Henrietta High School, Greece Olympia and Greece Athena Middle School.
