  • Start thinking about job shadowing or joining an Exploring Post

  • Academic progress checks after Q1

  • Begin having conversations with your teachers about what courses/level you are interested in taking next year

  • Eastern Monroe Career Center presentation (EMCC) on what vocational programs they offer: www.monroe.edu/emcc

  • Annual Individual Progress Review: Individual appointments with students to discuss their progress in relation to their future goals and course selections for junior year

  • Academic progress checks after Q2


Spring

  • Explore opportunities for college classes at U of R/RIT - see your counselor for details and eligibility: https://www.rhnet.org/Page/482

  • Utilize resources and opportunities offered by the CCC

    • Lending library

    • Career exploration

    • College search/college major search/virtual college visits

    • Scholarship search

    • Workshop/conferences

    • College/career related field trips/virtual tours

  • Begin thinking about what your post secondary plans might be

  • Academic progress check after Q3

  • Study hard for final exams! Remember, what you do this year can directly impact your post secondary plans!
