Alternative High School Fair
Each year the School Counselor's host representatives from high schools where RHAM students have a choice of applying to. This year, the following schools had representation:
Glastonbury Regional Agriscience & Technology Center
Arts at the Capitol Theater Magnet School
Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts
Connecticut River Academy at Goodwin University
At this program 8th graders had the opportunity to watch brief videos about each of these schools. You can check out the videos by clicking here.
If your child plans to apply to a high school other than RHAM High it is helpful for their School Counselor to be informed, so we can help guide them through the application process. Additional materials for some of these schools can be found in Guidance.
RHAM High School Course Selection
Grade 8 teachers will input course requests and level recommendations for students for English, Mathematics, Social Studies (World History I), and Science (General Science). Students may choose a total of 3 additional elective credits (including World Language) to fill their schedule. Students will automatically be scheduled for study halls if they request less than 3 credits. For instructions on how to complete the Course Selection process check out the Student Registration page of the RHAM High School website.
