In some years, Student Leadership hosts a Winter Dance or a Spirit Week. These spirit weeks often include themed dress-up days and events that raise money for children in need, student leadership, or organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Throughout every semester, each Leadership student works on an individual school improvement project. These projects focus on improving different areas of the school and are often inspired by student feedback. Here are two school improvement projects. On the left is Teia Fryer's Basalt Positive Quote Mural, which she hand-painted herself to bring positivity to the hallways and celebrate the languages spoken at Basalt High School. On the right is the Basalt Merchandise Store, created by Carlos V., Hayden B., and Kian S. The store offers students-designed Basalt spirit wear, water bottles, snacks, and more.

Throughout the entire school year, Student Leadership members run lunchtime activities to keep school spirit high. These activities give students a break in the day to have fun, connect with others, and feel more involved in the school community. These include musical chairs, bubble soccer, student vs staff basketball games, karaoke, talent show, fashion show, teq ball tournaments, and others.
