Ramona John
This month’s Staff member of the month is Mrs. John, she started teaching in 2003. She grew up in Blairsville, PA and attended Butler Community College and Slippery Rock University. The thing Mrs. John loves most is seeing the light bulb go on when her students finally understand concepts. Mrs. John began teaching in 2003 as a substitute for Armstrong School District and worked there for 3 years, then she taught special education in a non-public school for 3 years in Pittsburgh. She taught special education for MIU4 and was hired by Reynolds in 2016 to teach the Intermediate Multi-Category room. In 2023 she transferred to Kindergarten at Reynolds. Her favorite time of the year is Spring and she loves seeing the trees and flowers come back to life making everything look fresh and new. She also enjoys getting outside and enjoying some sun while working on getting the garden ready, working with her bees, and talking walks around the property. Mrs. John’s favorite book is The Mitten written by: Jan Brett, in her free time she likes gardening, working with her bees and collecting honey, and crafting. She has a husband Hubie who she has been married to for 42 years, they have 3 children together, Ben is 34, Rebecca is 27, and Jessica is 25. She also has 3 grandchildren ages 5, 2, and 1. Her favorite restaurant is Melting Pot and her favorite food is ice cream. In her retirement she plans on relaxing, traveling, and having fun and enjoying time with her grandchildren.
