First, please ensure you have Registered your visit before arrival.
We suggest bringing the following essential items with your tent & camp gear:
Toilet Paper
Garbage bags/bins and food waste compost tubs (anti-rodent).
Greywater Safe ONLY: soap, shampoo and dishwashing liquid. (preferably bio-compatible, greywater safe, bio-degradeable, ecological)
Water bottles and/or water filter jug if desired.
Torch lights: headlamps etc
Insect repellent spray. Mosquito Coils.
Closed shoes/hiking boots, protective clothing, long sleeve shirts, trousers, hat.
Hot sun & wet weather gear, for sub-tropics.
First Aid kit should also include:
insect/mosquito/midge bite cream (like: Stingose)
tick bite and leech removal tools
snake bite compression bandages
burn cream and bandages
disinfectant and waterproof plasters, for cuts, scrapes and bites.
Shovel: to manage your campfire and in the unlikely need for protection against animals.
Rake: to keep your campsite clear of vegetation and combustible materials, or for gathering wood/sticks for fire, in a snake-safe way.
Water bucket (fire blanket and fire extinguisher recommended)
Shovel, to pour sand over fires.
Rake and cutting tool to keep site and fire pits clear of any vegetation.
Firewood: use only purchased firewood supplied or brought along (BYO), or sticks and "small logs" around your specific site only.
Saw/Chopping tools
Fire lighting tools
Portable BBQ, as cooking over a campfire is difficult without proper equipment, or not allowed during Fire Bans/Restrictions. Local seaside BBQ facilities may be available.
Ground tarp, to protect the underside of tents.
Rake and shovel to keep clear or level your site.
Vehicle levelling blocks or systems recommended.
The following items may be useful during rains as entry points may face boggy conditions and ruts, or for beach or local national reserve 4x4 driving.
