We are a regional crisis response team formed through a partnership between school districts and Resource Training & Solutions. Our team includes over 50 trained professionals serving across nine counties in Central Minnesota. We are equipped to deploy in our designated areas to support schools during times of crisis. Our members receive specialized training in school crisis response, including the effects of trauma, signs and symptoms of distress, crisis interventions, referral indicators, debriefings, and team coordination. Team members include school psychologists, social workers, counselors, administrators, nurses, and school safety experts.
When a school experiences tragedy, staff are often deeply affected and may struggle to provide the support their students and colleagues need. Our team steps in to provide that support. Because we are not emotionally connected to the school community, we can respond with objectivity and professionalism during highly emotional events. We lead group counseling, offer individual support, and help stabilize the school environment. Our work is grant-funded by the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota Department of Health, allowing us to respond quickly and at no cost to districts in our region.
Our mission is to provide immediate, compassionate, and skilled crisis response to schools in Central Minnesota during times of tragedy. Through a partnership between local school districts and Resource Training & Solutions, our team of trained professionals works to restore emotional safety, support staff and students, and help schools recover with strength and resilience.
