Insurance Information
Utilizing insurance may result in reduced fees, anywhere from $0-$105 per session. The amount of coverage depends on the mental health benefits under your insurance plan and the amount left on your deductible.
As a service to clients choosing to utilize their insurance, I offer to complete the verification of your insurance benefits to provide you with an estimate of your mental health coverage and out-of-pocket estimate for sessions. Please be aware that insurance verification and estimates cannot be guaranteed accurate prior to the appointment. The exact amount you are responsible for is subject to change and cannot be confirmed until the first claim has been processed by your insurance company.
Important Considerations for Utilizing Insurance Benefits
While utilizing insurance benefits can contribute to reducing the financial expense of therapy, it also may dictate many parts of the therapy process including frequency, duration and focus of sessions and how long your overall therapy experience can last.
Insurance companies also require therapists to give you a mental health diagnosis that goes into your medical record. Although I ensure this process is transparent and collaborative, the process of diagnosis can feel different ways for different people - from a helpful development of understanding to a label and stigmatization of their pain.
I continue to remain in network with insurance companies due to the importance of maintaining accessibility to quality therapy. However, choosing to pay out-of-pocket can increase the personalization, privacy and flexibility of your therapy process.
I am currently an in-network provider with the following insurance companies:
Blue Cross and Blue Shield
I am able to provide a super bill to client's with out-of-network insurance to submit for potential reimbursement. The amount of which you are reimbursed for our sessions will be up to your insurance provider.
