Teaching & Training
I have taught the topics below to graduate students and professional researchers as a mixture of both lecture and practical sessions. I lectured and/or run practicals on these topics to graduate students at the universities of Cambridge, Oxford, Surrey, Warwick, Utrecht, Oslo Metropolitan University as well as researchers at RAND, BIT and the Met Police (marked with *).
I taught a two-day intensive course on evaluation for policy-makers/public administrators for the European Institute for Public Administration (EIPA) Evaluation Capacity Building in the EU: Counterfactual and Theory Based Approaches for Evaluating Impact (May 2016).
I have also more recently (2023-2024) trained analytical and policy teams from the UK Ministry of Justice and Department for Education on Experimental Designs and running experiments in policy, as well as participated in training for police forces and security agencies on research and evaluation.
