1. Who is this event for?

The English Language Learner (ELL) Healthcare Pathways Statewide Convening is for ELL Healthcare Pathways grantees from Rounds One, Two, and Three. ELL Healthcare Pathways Program Leaders and Administrators; ELL Healthcare Pathways Instructors; Counselors and Navigators working with ELL Healthcare Pathways students; Any other staff members who work closely with the ELL Healthcare Pathways program and may benefit from this information.

2. Who is hosting the convening?

The convening is being presented by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and WestEd.

3. How far is the hotel from the airport?

The Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport hotel is very close to the John Wayne Airport—Orange County. It is approximately 1.5 miles, or 7 minutes by car.

4. Is there a restaurant in the hotel?

Yes, the Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport hotel offers onsite dining options for attendees and hotel guests.

5. Does the hotel offer a shuttle to and from the airport?

Yes, the hotel offers a shuttle to and from the airport. Lyft and Uber also operate throughout the area.

6. What meals will be provided at the ELL Healthcare Pathways Statewide Convening?

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided at the convening. Please see the Schedule for the list and timing of scheduled meals.

7. How much is parking at the hotel?

Self-parking is available for convening attendees at a rate of $28/day.

9. What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check in: 3:00 p.m.

No, it is not necessary to download any software to attend the convening.

11. Will the sessions be recorded and available for future viewing?

The sessions will not be recorded, although PowerPoint presentations will be shared with attendees after the event.
