Housing & Land Use

I spent nearly a year interning with M. Larson Consulting to performing housing and land use research in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. Regularly researching Environmental Impact Reports, letters from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), and upcoming state housing laws, I used my knowledge to prepare client memos on policy and elected officials, analyze municipal council meetings and highlight impacts of action items, and give public comment on behalf of clients.

Additionally, I serve as a lead with Peninsula for Everyone, a chapter of YIMBY Action, and work closely with other housing activists and elected officials to promote pro-housing and tenants rights policies. I organized hundreds of my neighbors to speak in support of the appointment for San Mateo Councilwoman Amourence Lee to be appointed Mayor after an unjust attempt by anti-development community members to block her selection.
