Ren (they/them) is a mobility and land use advocate and democratic strategist based in the Bay Area. They are an undergraduate Urban Studies and Journalism student at UC Berkeley.
A seasoned community organizer, Ren combines many years of experience working as a progressive democratic campaign strategist with a passion for safe, equitable streets and positive land use. Having led several winning local, state, and federal campaigns, Ren recognizes the stakeholders and political considerations for a wide variety of public projects.

Ren produces materials on a variety of platforms with an emphasis on social media platforms. They contribute to the Bay Area Rapid Transit District, where they contract as the Family Engagement Specialist.
Currently, Ren is the Head of Instagram and Twitter Strategy at Gen-Z for Change, a nonprofit that leverages the power of digital media to leverage progressive policy.
Ren also serves as the Chair to the City of Berkeley's Transportation and Infrastructure Commission, where they engage with stakeholders for, improve, and advance public infrastructure and mobility projects.
More than understanding how cities work, Ren emphasizes the ability to connect projects with the public good as a measure of success, and serve to bridge that gap.
