Geetings Musicians!! I have extensive teaching experience from beginners to university degree, level as well as a performance portfolio covering many many different genres of music. In my native England, I studied with critically acclaimed classical guitarist Carlos Bonell at the London College of Music, where I received Licentiate and Graduate Diplomas in Classical Guitar and Classical Music Theory. After moving to New Zealand, I have composed for film and television, perfomed extensively with numerous bands and ensembles, coached both professional and up and coming guitarists as an instrumental teacher and ran a recording studio. I hold a Graduate Diploma from the New Zealand School of Music, a Postgraduate Diploma in Jazz Performance (UOA) and a Master’s Degree with Honours in Ethnomusicology from the University of Auckland.

Lewis McCallum
Woodwind, Brass and Rock Band Teacher
Lewis McCallum is one of New Zealand's most exciting and innovative musicians. Lewis brings his deep knowledge of jazz to the stage and fuses it with modern forms of dance and beats culture to present a truly unique sound.
At a young age he was awarded Best Saxophonist & Best Young Jazz Musician at New Zealand's National Jazz Festival, and has now gone on to play with some of the biggest names in music: Ray Charles, Manhattan Transfer, Peter Urlich, Hollie Smith, Opensouls, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Batucada Sound Machine, Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra and recently toured China with Elaine Paige.
As well as playing a number of saxophones, woodwinds, keyboards and synthesisers, Mr McCallum is also a well established music producer, having created two albums of his own original music; "Wake" and “Syntheology" which was released in Japan on the label Wonderful Noise. Both albums feature NZ's premiere vocalists; Mara TK, Francis Kora, Esther Stephens, Tama Waipara, Cherie Mathieson, Deva Mahal.
