Spellings

Practise three spellings per day, your child will be tested on these the following day. Here are this weeks:

The times tables we are focussing on are:

2s, 5s, 10s.

Home Reading

Children will each be given a reading book at their reading level each week. It is important that they are read with regularly, both at home and in school.

Please ensure your child brings their book bag to school each day so that we can keep up to date with their progress and provide appropriate texts for them.

REad, write, inc phonics

If your child is taking part in Read Write Inc sessions to support their reading and writing, you may find this document helpful.

This handy parent booklet gives a good outline of the phonics scheme we use in school and information on how you can support your child with this. There are also lists and flash cards of all the sounds and words your child will need to know in order to come off the program.
