Telehealth

During these unprecedented times of the Covid-19 Shelter-in-Place order has given RSI the opportunity to explore telehealth services. We are happy to announce it has been a success! As such, we will continue this service even when the pandemic has resolved.

What is Telehealth?

Using a telecommunications device (laptop, tablet, phone, etc) our patients will communicate face-to-face with a Physical Therapist from the comfort of their home. Sessions are typically about 20-30 minutes.

The beauty of telehealth is it empowers the patient to learn the skills necessary to care for themselves. Our physical therapists work with what you have at home to design the most efficient program for your recovery.

Examples of treatments via telehealth:

  • Safely return to exercise

  • Pain management (ex. Back pain, Shoulder pain)

  • Recovery after surgery

  • Home desk set-up/Ergonomics

Telehealth is not for all patients. An evaluation will help determine if Telehealth is right for you. This will enable you and the PT to collectively decide the best treatment approach for you.

Most insurances cover telehealth, however it is recommended you contact the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to confirm.
