You will be required to complete artifacts at the end of the following modules:
Module 6: Phonological Awareness;
Module 8: Decoding, Encoding, and Word Study;
Module 9: Reading Fluency; and
Module 10: Reading Comprehension; and
Summative Artifact (also submitted after Module 10).
The Module 10 Artifact assesses your knowledge of Reading Comprehension, and the Summative Artifact synthesizes all you have learned during the entire Reading Academy course. The Module 6 and Summative Artifacts are graded using a Centralized Artifact Grading System, while the artifacts for Modules 8, 9, and 10 are graded by the Canvas system.
As a Blended Cohort, you are expected to score 80% or higher on all graded assignments. You may retake these graded assignments to help you achieve 80% or higher.

A check for understanding (CfU) is included at the end of each chapter to assess whether you have learned the big ideas presented in the chapter. CfUs are automatically graded by the Canvas system, and you will know your results immediately upon submitting your CfU.
All Reading Academies participants are held to a high standard of professionalism, and plagiarism and/or sharing of answers within or outside of your cohort will not be tolerated. All participants who are suspected of plagiarism or sharing of content will be warned and required to resubmit their work. On the second offense, they may be removed from the cohort in which they are participating and may be required to take the Reading Academies over again in their entirety.
