micro-course: Assessing our impact with ltem

➡️ To receive credit for this Micro-Course, submission of the Reflection Forms (2) and Triggered Action Planning Template are required. ⬅️

LTEM INtroduction

This 3-minute video introduces you to LTEM, the Learning-Transfer Evaluation Model, a tool that measures transfer, the immediate and future utilization of learning.

➡️ Record your initial reflections on the need for this model.

Tiers 1 - 4

This video provides information about the lowest tiers of the model. These tiers do not measure learner effectiveness, but they can provide insight into learning designs, and they are fundamental to the tiers above them.

Tiers 5 - 6

For learning to transfer, we want behaviors to change as the result of the learning experience.

SEDA Model

The SEDA model helps distinguish between decision making (which is LTEM Tier 5) and task performance (Tier 6).

➡️ Submit your reflections and plans moving forward.

Tiers 7 - 8

For learning to transfer (Tier 7) participants must be able to successfully apply what they learned. Extension activities and coaching help support transfer.

Tier 8 represents the benefits that learning enables. At this tier, learning becomes performance and creates results.

Triggered Action Planning

To help learning transfer, we want contextual situations to trigger certain actions. This framework is a way to help learners, when they're back on the job, remember what they've learned.

➡️ Submit your Goal Setting Activity (TAP Template).
