Warm weather days and free schedules make this a great time for Summer Math!
Each year our students have the option to participate in reading and math practice opportunities over the summer months. Students have many choices. There are six weeks of math activities that do not require screen time and ask our students to engage in math in the world around them. These six community activities are listed below--do one a week or complete at your own pace. The activities are leveled so they are appropriate for children in all elementary grades. We hope students will join in and explore our local communities through a mathematical lens.
I have also included links for online activities, including the state's math challenge.

Math in Our Community Checklist and Activities
THANKS FOR PARTICIPATING! Feel free to turn in your checklist when we return to school or scan and email it to me. If you did not complete the checklist and just did the math for fun, that's fine, too.
