Math Coach's Corner

As the K-6 Math Coach, I am proud of our young Deep River Elementary School mathematicians who work hard to be creative thinkers and thoughtful problem solvers. Our teachers in Grades K-5 utilize the Bridges in Math program as a primary resource, while Grade 6 uses Illustrative Math through Kendall Hunt. Our educators work hard to implement instruction in a way that honors different learning styles and needs. Teachers also encourage all students to have a growth mindset, pointing out that we can learn from our mistakes, succeed with perseverance, and achieve at high levels if we set our minds to a task.
