Stephen Joseph Theatre
The Stephen Joseph Theatre is an independent theatre and cinema based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Their famous theatre-in-the-round, which was the first of its kind in the world, is housed in a beautifully-restored 1930s Odeon cinema.
Their vision is to create and host bold, relevant and surprising theatre and cinema that inspires and entertains. As one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations, their work is made possible by National Lottery players, and as such, in return they continually strive to ensure that their home is a space which supports the local community, organisations and projects such as Coast to Credits.
Culture provokes interest and lets imagination run wild. Sharing experiences and stories helps build communities. Collaboration builds a compassionate and engaged society.
The Stephen Joseph Theatre believe their role is to give everyone the opportunity to discover and celebrate their own creativity and that of others.
Thank you for your continued support of us and making projects like Coast to Credits possible.

14 years ago, Eat Me created somewhere they knew we would love to visit for good food and shenanigans. They have what we want - an eclectic mix of British & Asian with a hint of so much more. A local independant cafe restaurant, still in the heart of the town but also in the heart of the Stephen Joseph Theatre.
Huge thanks to the Eat Me Café & Social team for providing us with a delicious lunch halfway through Coast to Credits.
