News & Info
Practice Starts August 15th!
Mark your calendars! Practice starts Monday, August 15 at 3:30 p.m. and will run to 6:30 p.m. each day until school starts. The gym and locker room will be open at 3 p.m. and all athletes should be in the gym no later than 3:20 p.m. to get stretched out and warmed up.
But before you can practice, ALL student athletes that wish to participate in any fall sport (football, cross country, & volleyball) will need to complete the WIAA Eligibility Form, WIAA Concussion Form, and either the WIAA Physical Card or the WIAA Alternate Year Card. All student athletes will also need to complete the Co-curricular Code/Handbook, which is typically done during the first week or two of the school year.
As part of our athletic training services with Aurora, physicals for student-athletes are once again being offered for a $25 fee. The flier with all the information can be seen/downloaded by clicking the following link: Aurora Physical Exam Info.

Preseason Meeting
In an attempt to get everyone started on the right foot this season, I have moved the volleyball parent meeting to Monday, August 8 at 6 p.m. in Coach Hanson's classroom (room A130) at the high school a week before practice starts. All athletes are required to attend this meeting with their parents. We will talk about topics such as team makeup and playing time, what forms need to be turned in before practice starts, Parent’s & Senior Night, and more. I will also go over the schedule and other important dates throughout the season. If you and your athlete cannot attend this meeting, please reach out to me so that we can make arrangements for you and your athlete to get the information covered at this meeting. It is so important that all of us are on the same page, and it is my sincere hope that talking with all of you will help us to unite as a team, even before our season begins. Team isn't the most important thing; it's the only thing.
