Dear Students and Parents,
As the Headteacher of Rednock School, it is my privilege to extend the warmest of welcomes to you.
Rednock holds a special place at the heart of our community, with a rich history of serving generations of families. I am delighted that you have chosen to embark on this journey with us, as we begin shaping the next chapter of Rednock School together.
At Rednock everyone matters. This is our school vision and we are dedicated to providing a high-quality education in collaboration with our students, their parents, and our community, ensuring success for all. We hold ambitious aspirations for each of you, and through outstanding teaching, nurturing care, and a diverse range of extracurricular activities, we aim to provide every opportunity for you to realise your potential.
There is an abundance of opportunities awaiting you at Rednock, and as you commence your journey, I encourage you to embrace every possibility with ambition, resilience, and kindness. Rednock is not just a school; it is a vibrant community where everyone matters.
As September approaches, I understand that you may feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Rest assured, you will see me on your Transition Day and around the school during your visits. Alongside all our dedicated staff, I am fully committed to supporting your future successes. All I ask is that you share in this commitment.
I eagerly anticipate the start of this new chapter together. Should you have any questions or concerns along the way, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Warm regards,
Mr M. Stratford
Headteacher
There are two student entrances towards the back of the school. One is down Rednock Drive, by the Community Centre and one is to the right of the Fire Department down towards our Music Block. Both of these paths will lead you to the back of the school, where we will be there to welcome you.
You will get a letter from your buddy in Term 6 and you will meet them on your first Introductory Day, which you will receive more information about shortly. They will be here to help you settle into Rednock and find your way around.
You will just need to bring your bag and a pencil case with basic stationary. You will not need your PE kit on your first day.
You will receive your timetable on your first day at Rednock. Your tutor will give you a paper copy and you will need to keep this safe, if you do lose it however, we will be able to print you a copy.
In the summer you will receive a letter letting you know which community you will be in.
School ties can be bought via ParentPay or from the school’s main reception. Both clip-on ties and regular ties are available but are subject to availability.
Although we try to ensure all biometric payments are set up as soon as we are able, we advise that you send your child with cash or a packed lunch on their first day.
If you have applied for a GCC bus pass, this will arrive to your home address before your child starts with us.
£2.90 will automatically be added to their school lunch account each day (this amount will zero at the end of each day). This allows them to purchase the meal of the day which gives them a hot meal, a pudding and a drink.
You will receive this on their first day at Rednock when they are officially on-role with us..
