In any circuit you can calculate resistance using the formula:
resistance (Ω) = potential difference (V) ÷ current (A).
So lets take a look at this example. The series circuit has a current of 0.90A and the bulb has been measured to be 9V.
To find the resistance of the bulb you
Resistance = 9V/0.90A so
Resistance = 10Ω
In series circuit you can figure out the total resistance of the circuit by adding the resistances of all the components in the circuit.
Here if both bulbs are the same type as before then the total resistance = 10Ω + 10Ω = 20Ω
