FAQ

What are we doing today?

Social Studies!

What’s my grade? What assignments am I missing?

Check Aeries for your grade or for missing assignments. If you are unable to check Aeries, you can go to Mr. Stephens’ classroom in the morning to check.

How can I bring up my grade? Is there extra credit I can do?

Turn in class work COMPLETE and do your homework. Study for tests. Turn in your missing assignments. I may give the entire class an extra credit opportunity, but I do not give extra credit to individual students.

I turned in an assignment but Aeries says it’s missing. What do I do?

Check the No Name box, your work folder, your binder, your backpack, at home, etc. If it’s in none of those places, I do not have record of you turning it in.

Can I turn in this assignment late?

You can turn in late assignments for half credit, or you can attach a late pass to your completed assignment for full credit.

I left my homework at home. Can I turn it in tomorrow?

The assignment is late, and the late policy (see above) applies.

I can’t find my paper or I left it at home. What do I do?

I do not always have extra copies. If you have lost a paper, you can check Google Classroom and print it at home, or you can recreate the assignment on a piece of paper. If it’s not online or you can’t get to a computer, you’ll need to borrow somebody else’s paper to see what you need to do.

Do I need to answer in complete sentences?

Yes, always, unless Mr. Stephens tells you otherwise (Remember – RACE the question.)

What do I do when I’m done?

  • Work on missing assignments or homework for social studies.

  • Review the current concept in the social studies textbook.

  • With permission, get a Chromebook and watch videos in Discovery for the current concept.

  • Work on homework or missing assignments for other classes.

When is Mr. Stephens available for help?

I am available for help before school every day, from 8:15-8:40, unless I have a meeting. I am also available for help at times during lunch. Check with me if you plan on coming in for extra help.
