Social Emotional Classroom Lessons
At Mckinley elementary school, the school counselor teaches social emotional classroom lessons in all classrooms approximately every other week. All elementary schools in Redlands Unified School District utilize the Second Step curriculum for classroom lessons. The Second Step Program is a social emotional curriculum that is designed to teach skills that promote growth mindest and goal setting, empathy and kindess, emotional regulation, problem solving and bullying prevention.
