STUDENTS TAKING ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE ACTIONS
net zerO HEROES is the OLS Sustainability Club. All of our initiatives aim to MEASURE, MITIGATE, AND/OR OFFSET GHG's while working in a SMART goal framework of being SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ATTAINABLE, RELEVANT, AND TIMELY. We follow advocacy with action supported by relevant and measurable project goals.

Students analyze municipal, federal, global and humanitarian open data surrounding the impacts of climate change on water resources to uncover new trends of relevance to our local and global communities. OLS students develop skills in: data management, analysis using Python learned through workshops in JupyterHub, collaborating with peers and mentors using Slack, programming support with Github, the use of the Overleaf professional scholarly communication platform to prepare and submit their project report.
