The Grade 4s had their first bonding camp as students of the senior preparatory. The students bonded with their fellow peers as well as their new teachers for the year. Many activities took place, with the highlights being the foam party on Thursday afternoon, followed by the glow stick disco that evening. The Grade 4s were lights out by that night after the many bonding experiences that day. Friday morning, the students were up with the birds and ready for their wet n wild day with the gladiator slides. The students also made tie-dyed shirts that they will wear throughout the year. Fun was had by all and an exciting year lies ahead of us.
The Grade 5s and 6s had a fantastic time at Wartog Inn, bonding and having loads of fun! Their highlight was getting dirty and soaked in a mud tunnel and going around an extreme obstacle course. Lots of time was spent getting to know each other and having fun while doing so. It was fantastic seeing everyone work together during team challenges and creating unique watch cries. Everyone had a wonderful time out... We will always be a "Wartog Soldier!"
The Grade 7s had a lot of fun at Bonding camp. Some of their highlights were ‘working together to fill a leaking bucket with water' and giving directions to blind folded teammates. The last evening was spent around the camp fire telling stories. It was truly amazing to see how new friendships were formed and how they learnt teamwork and attention to detail.
Those students who are not making use of our Red Cafe termly meal-offering, can order lunch in the morning with Red Cafe. Parents or students can use the app to place orders - please ensure orders are placed by 09:00am, so students can collect their order by 2nd second break.
This provides assistance, as we understand when there is a forgotten lunch, or additional food or drinks that your child may require. This also removes the need to drop off cash or debit cards for your children, as these items can also be misplaced at school.
We would prefer students to use this option rather than order takeaways. We are seeing an increase in fast-food getting delivered during the day at school which disrupts classtime.
Further information is also available under the Red Cafe section on our School App.
