The Grade 8s attended bonding camp at Sediba Kwele and what an incredible experience. The camp was designed to promote positive relationships and help with the integration into Grade 8 through building stronger connections with one another - and it did just that.
Overall, the bonding camp was an amazing experience. We left the camp feeling energized and with a sense of accomplishment. It is an experience that we will cherish for a long time.
What an exciting second year of bonding camps for our Grade 9s. They had a blast at Dimalachite, in Parys. Fantastic bonding and activities filled their days. We are so proud of their efforts and good spirits.
The focus for our Grade 10 bonding camp was outreach. Students has a fantastic time cleaning a school and working with an animal shelter. The perfect way to start the year is by helping others.
Our Grade 11s started their week with an Academic Programme to introduce them to Grade 11 topics and start the year with a strong academic focus. They ended off the week with an incredible outreach experience, working at a children's home. The experience was heartwarming and humbling for our students.
Our Grade 12s started their week with an Academic Programme to introduce them to Grade 12 topics and start the year with a strong academic focus. They ended off the week with a leadership and teambuilding focus, in order to solidify the bonds that they have with eachother and prepare them for the busy year ahead.
Those students who are not making use of our Red Cafe termly meal-offering, can order lunch in the morning with Red Cafe. Parents or students can use the app to place orders - please ensure orders are placed by 09:00am, so students can collect their order by 2nd second break.
This provides assistance, as we understand when there is a forgotten lunch, or additional food or drinks that your child may require. This also removes the need to drop off cash or debit cards for your children, as these items can also be misplaced at school.
We would prefer students to use this option rather than order takeaways. We are seeing an increase in fast-food getting delivered during the day at school which disrupts classtime.
Further information is also available under the Red Cafe section on our School App.
