Emergency Medical Services is a critical component of Safety Services that provides emergency medical responses and medical transport to the sick and injured.
It provides ambulance services, and first aid stations in social gatherings and events.
EMS ensures effective, efficient and sustainable emergency medical and pre-hospital response nationwide.
Emergency Medical Services Response
Safety Services is tasked to manage the Philippine Red Cross’ Emergency Medical Services Response. It is a system that provides emergency medical care. Once it is activated by a situation that causes serious illness or injury, the focus of EMS is pre-hospital emergency medical care, treatment and management of the patient(s) until transport to a definitive medical facility.
SERVICE OUTLETS
1. First Aid Station
The Safety Services sets up First Aid Stations during an event where first aid assistance is necessary. Few of the events that Safety Services provides this service is during the Feast of the Black Nazarene, Holy Week, Undas and other events such as concerts through request.
2. Standby Ambulance Service
The Safety Services provides a standby ambulance during events that may need ambulance transport.
3. Highway First Aid Station
The Safety Services provides assistance on the road by setting up first aid stations along the highway. This service is conducted to ensure immediate response during road crashes or any road-related medical emergencies.
4. Patient Conduction
The Safety Services provides inter-facility ambulance conduction of patients, headed by the Emergency Medical Services Unit through its 178 fleet of ambulance nationwide.
