RÉCIT VT was among 240+ colleagues across the RÉCIT network, its partners and collaborators to partake in the annual FCC conference - Formation Conjointe et Collaborative.
This year was the first in-person version since the pandemic brought us all together online instead for the past two years.
RÉCIT VT partook in a multitude of sessions, including 3D printing and creating and sharing podcasts. We reflected with other Voc. Ed. colleagues amongst our chosen workshops, networking and exchanging how the session's content could apply and benefit VT.
The workshop "Créer et diffsuer son balado en classe" was Podcasting 101. Whether you knew a bit about podcasting going into RÉCIT Domaine de Langues' session or not, there was something for everyone. The 75-minute session included producing a quick podcast
of our own, a feat that RÉCIT VT and FP happily took on. By the end of the hour, we had created and shared amongst our peers our very own 60-second, promotional clip. The full Producing and Sharing Podcasts self-guided course is available on the Campus RÉCIT website. Create a free account with your schoolboard email.
Another highlight was the Lancement du chantier sur les réalités virtuelles et augmentées. This special part one of a three-part series working group saw participants who have experimented with the technology in their classroom or keen on doing so. There were an abundance of resources shared from the high school, AGE and VT sectors. Content included projects done in History, Art, Languages and VT (Auto mechanics, Health, Residential and Commercial Drafting). RÉCIT VT is already looking forward to part two when the VR and AR working group meets next in January 2023.
