The referendum passed on November 4, 2025!
With the district's current debt expiring in January 2027, Readington Township voters approved the School District to issue bonds with a "net zero" tax levy impact to fund necessary infrastructure upgrades, enhance the student experience, and plan for the future needs of the district.
Your support and help allowed us achieve this ambitious endeavor and we are extremely grateful.
The Board of Education and administration are taking the next steps to prioritize and commence construction on the 83 projects. Please stay tuned for updates as we progress over the coming months and years. Thank you again!

It’s more than buildings – it's about enhancing, modernizing and expanding our facilities to preserve the high-quality education that defines Readington.
$12 million in state aid that is available to Readington through voter approval of the referendum.
Funds would support key school upgrades and enhance learning spaces, helping us better manage class sizes and provide the utmost opportunities for students and staff.
Project costs would be spread out over time, similar to how homeowners finance major home improvements.
The timing is aligned with the final debt payments from a previous referendum, helping to LOWER TAXES while still providing critical funds to keep infrastructure and equipment optimal.
As debt from the previous referendum ends, the owner of a house assessed at
Readington's average home value of $452,050 will see a
$17 per year NET TAX DECREASE compared to current levels!

The referendum did pass on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 allowing
the district can secure $12 million dollars from the State of New Jersey while lowering taxes!
