The National Honor Society was established in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. NHS celebrates students' accomplishments in academics, but also in other “soft-skill” areas, such as leadership and service. NHS Chapters and students are those who care not only about achievement but also about community service and engagement.
The National Honor Society has members that have achieved success in all areas of life. A few outstanding members are:
Sheryl Crow
Gerald Ford
Jim Henson
David Miur
John Stewart
Taylor Swift
