About US

Co-founded by Renee Menary and Megan Farrell in early 2019, Read 2 Lead took shape when community members supporting various children’s literacy projects came together, pooling efforts to sustain and further develop these early-literacy focused projects. 

In June 2019, the organization incorporated, receiving an official 501(c)3 status. The name, Read 2 Lead, was adopted and core projects such as Books for MICA and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library were established. Two years later, we've expanded to include "book end" programs, Raising-A-Reader for parents of babies, newborn to 6 months and Kindergarten Kickoff, for preschool graduates! 

Since inception, 100% of every dollar given has gone directly to supporting Read 2 Lead Projects.
