We're so glad to be hosting the Zone 4W AHSDFA Festival this year. Here are a few things when visiting our Blackbox:
Please park in the west (student) parking lot. The Blackbox doors are directly to your left at that entrance.
Set can come in the large Gathering Area double doors-please ask for assistance when bringing in large pieces. Keep setpieces in their labelled areas.
For audiences: Doors will open in between performances and passes will be available for purchase using cash or card for $10/Session or $20/Weekend.

Artstrek Info:
Applications are open for Artstrek 2026!
Artstrek is a summer theatre school for teens that provides professional learning with theatre artists and educators in a collaborative environment. Artstrek is more than 60 years old and has 10,000+ alumni working across Alberta, Canada, and the world.
Artstrek students explore the creative process through five daily classes that include the study of acting, movement, voice, devising, design, directing, and dramaturgy. All of these classes take inspiration from a single play of study—this year’s play The Birds by Yvette Nolan.
Artstrek will take place 12 to July 25 at Red Deer Polytechnic.
Exploration I (Ages 12-15): July 12 – 17, 2026
Exploration II (Ages 16-18): July 19 – 25, 2026
There is financial aid available through various scholarships and sponsorships to help you attend Artstrek. All Artstrek students receive a complimentary Theatre Alberta membership with access to Canada’s largest play library and Drama Online!
Keep an eye out on https://www.theatrealberta.com/artstrek/ for further updates on the program. Early bird applications close on May 15, 2026 and the deadline for applications is June 30, 2026!
