24 Hour Holter Monitoring
Holter Monitoring is used to continuously monitor heart rate (ECG) for 24 hours. It is done with a portable device called a holter monitor that is worn.

If your doctor suspects irregularities or conditions with your heart such as arrhythmia or abnormal fainting that a regular electrocardiogram (EKG) did not pick up, your doctor will recommend a Holter monitor. This monitor will pick up irregularities that the electrocardiogram did not detect.
