Earth Science is the first high school course in science. In this course, students will study earth, both as is exists by itself, and as part of the solar system. Topics and themes include the structure of the Earth, astronomy, the atmosphere, weather, climate, geology, and the impacts humans have on the planet. While not a lab course, some lab activities are designed to help reinforce the curriculum and provide students with the scientific skills needed for future science classes. Students may choose to work towards earning Honors, with increased expectations.
