Classroom Music & Chorus

At Rutland Town School we teachi that everyone is a Musical Person.

A Musical Person is:

• Tuneful - can identify tunes and sing them
• Beatful - can identify the beat of a song and perform rhythmic patterns
• Artful - can perform music expressively

In the elementary classroom we focus on learning musical literature, especially through listening and movement.

In the older grades we develop our young Musical People into more skilled musicians who sing in chorus or play in band.
