About Mrs. McDevitt

Welcome to my 6th grade math and science classes this year at Eich! Go Wildcats!

Although this is my fourth year teaching at Warren T. Eich, I attended Eich in 7th grade as the "new girl in the school".

This is my 13th year of teaching in Roseville. I previously taught 4th and 5th grade at Thomas Jefferson Elementary in Roseville, but have pictured myself teaching "middle school" often, so here I am! I love math and science, so when the opportunity was presented, I followed a dream! Teaching is my 2nd career. I used to work as a Behavioral Therapist.

After attending Eich, I moved to Connecticut and graduated High School. After that, I returned to California to play basketball in college at Fresno State University (Go Bulldogs!). It's there I met my husband, Dave. We've been married for an amazing 32 years. We have three children, Jenny, a 1st grade teacher in Tennessee from the University of Oregon, Kaitlin works for Child Protective Services in Oregon and graduated from Washington State University, and Logan is a Sophomore at UCLA and a recipient of the Scouting Eagle Scout award. Both of our girls recently got engaged and will be married in 2020.

I got my Master's in Education and continue to love to learn. I play competitive tennis (tournaments and leagues), love kayaking and college football, especially the "PAC 12"! (Look at the back of my classroom).

We also love dogs. Mocha, my chocolate lab and Stanley, my 3-legged miniature pinscher are part of my family! We enjoy traveling, having been to Iceland, Germany, Hungary, Budapest, Austria, Africa, Australia, Ireland, England, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and France in recent years.

I hope you enjoy your 6th grade year here at Eich! Go Wildcats!!

Warm wishes,

Mrs. McDevitt
