Behavior charts, also called star charts if using "star" stickers, are a great way to help motivate your child. This can be used in MANY different ways and for many different purposes (schoolwork, chores, etc.). After a child demonstrates a desired behavior (ex: finishing a problem) then they receive a sticker. After a certain amount of stickers (number and rate at which they are given varies depending on the need) they receive their reward. For example, five questions answered = five stars received = 5 minutes of free play before getting back to work. For help setting up your reward system, feel free to reach out to me via email jhall@rcsdk8.org and we can set up an appointment to discuss your need.
