We have heard that many students are having issues with disconnecting from video conferences or having browser issues multiple times per hour. These issues have multiple causes and RCSD is not unique in having these issues early in the school year. So, what can students do to make things better?
Reboot your Chromebook at least once a day. This clears out the RAM (memory) and doesn’t allow closed applications to keep using some of your system memory.
Close all unnecessary tabs in Google Chrome. Open tabs use memory.
Make sure that there are no other applications running on your Chromebook.
Some of these issues can be caused by a poor internet connection. To make things better, move closer to your hotspot or internet modem at home.
