New York State Department of Education requires students to complete a minimum of 22 class credits in order to graduate. Here at School Without Walls we require 25.5 credits for for graduation. The image on the left breaks down each subject area.
In addition to class credits, students must pass the ELA Regents with a 65% and 4 Exit Level PBAT's.
Students must complete 75 hours of community service every year, which translates to .75 for a total of 3 full credits.
Students must also complete their Senior Project which accounts for .5 credit.
Grade 10: Student must have earned 5 credits toward graduation
Grade 11: Students must have earned 11 credits toward graduation.
5 Credits must have come from the successful completion or core classes (ie . English, Math, Science, Social Studies. LOTE, Art, Music, PE and/or Health)
Grade 12: Students must have earned 16 credits toward graduation, and/or must have a schedule that will allow him/her to graduate in June of current school year. This class schedule may include credit recovery courses that are scheduled beyond the normal school schedule.
