Wirelessly Connect and Write:
A Guide to Using a ScreenBeam
A Guide to Using a ScreenBeam
ScreenBeam is a wireless display technology that allows teachers to wirelessly connect their laptop to a larger display, such as a SMART Panel or Triumph Board. With ScreenBeam, teachers can freely move around the classroom, using their laptops to engage with small groups or individual students, while simultaneously displaying content on a bigger screen for everyone to see. This seamless wireless connectivity, in addition to the SMART Panel and desktop in the room, provides educators with even greater flexibility and mobility, enhancing their teaching experience and fostering interactive learning environments by offering more options for instruction.
*Note: When using an Interactive SMART Panel, due to the current limitations, SMART Ink does not support wireless functionality with ScreenBeam. Therefore, to write on content other than SMART Notebook while wirelessly connected via ScreenBeam, it is crucial to utilize the SMART Notebook Transparent Background Tool.
There’s no need to connect via ScreenBeam. You can directly interact with the smart panel using the built-in features of the All-In-One computer, including writing and interacting with applications and internet pages.
HDMI and USB Cable: You can connect your laptop to the smart panel using an HDMI and USB cable. This allows you to use SMART Ink for writing and interaction across internet pages and most applications.
ScreenBeam Wirelessly: Alternatively, you can connect wirelessly using ScreenBeam. While wireless, you can interact with the panel, but note that you’ll only be able to write on the SMART Panel when using SMART Notebook or a SMART Notebook Transparent Background. This wireless connection provides flexibility and mobility for teaching and presentations.
If you’re in a high school classroom with a black Triumph Board TV/White Triumph Board/ClearTouch Board can connect to the TV using ScreenBeam without any functional differences. This wireless connection provides flexibility and mobility for teaching and presentations.
