Rossville Elementary School's STEM Curriculum provides quarterly STEM instruction that integrates Math, ELA, Science, Technology, and Career Connections. The curriculum is designed to promote student engagement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences. Throughout the year, the principal and STEM leadership team provide STEM Coaching to teachers, offering support, guidance, and coaching as they navigate STEM instruction. The coaching helps teachers to develop effective STEM teaching strategies and to align their instruction with the learning objectives of each unit. The curriculum is divided into quarterly units, each of which focuses on a different STEM topic, such as energy, ecology, engineering, and technology. The units include a range of activities, including investigations, experiments, design challenges, and research projects. Assessment is an important component of the curriculum, with assessments used to measure student understanding, skills, and competencies.
