My name is Chuck Hayes, born and raised in Waterford, Michigan. I have been a Community College Dean & Adjunct Professor at Rochester Christian University for 20 years, until 2018, when I was offered to be a Dean at the College in Petoskey, Michigan. I am so happy to be back home with lifelong friends and Family again. While in Petoskey I left the college to be the director of a non-profit organization in Charlevoix. It was there I was introduced to Michigan Works, the Department of Labor apprenticeship Programs, and the many benefits both bring to employees and employers needing a little help. I joined NW Michigan Works in March, 2023 as a Business Services Representative & have absolutely loved the difference we were able to make for employers & employees, through training & support in this rural & beautiful piece of Northern Michigan. I am honored to be a part of Oakland 80 to get back to my roots of guiding students through the often confusing process of post-secondary education or introduce them to an apprenticeship. Changing lives one student at a time is my goal. Chuck will be our Career Navigator servicing Adams High School.
