Students must be logged into their RCISD profile on Google Chrome to access Classroom. Students not using district-provided devices will need to set up a profile on a Windows or Mac. This link provides a click sheet for parents to follow to create those profiles.
Remember Archiving a class archives for all teachers and all students in the classroom; always “Leave a class” unless you are the owner of that Classroom.
Forcing a copy makes sure that your co-workers are working on their own copies of a file instead of yours. You can also do the same with Forms but it requires one extra step. Luckily you don’t need to do this with students in Google Classroom--that feature is already built in.
It is important to sign all messages in Qmlativ. It is the only way a parent can know who sent the message to them. As an alternative you can use the email parents feature in Google Classroom or messaging feature in Seesaw.
In short, if you create a Meeting from the Meet website, you can prevent students from rejoining the session after it has ended. Watch the video for a tutorial.
Often we think of things we want to email at inconvenient hours. You can compose that email at 9:30pm and schedule it to send the next morning from both your phone and your computer.
They can search for you as one of the teachers in the building and use your EdPuzzles.
You can turn that off in the settings!
Accessing Seesaw and Classroom via Clever The buttons for Classroom and Seesaw have been changed to links to each site. This will resolve some of the sign in problems students have been experiencing. We still recommend for students without a district issued Chromebook sign into Clever to access Classroom and Seesaw.
BrainPOP, BrainPOP Jr., and Discovery ED will require a specific workflow for students if they try to access them on a personal computer. The link will take you to suggested directions to post in your assignment.
