Acknowledging the danger in which our world finds itself, RCSA has decided to take action against the over-consuming approach and to decrease the effects of global warming on society. Since 2009, the implemented Green Policy has changed RCSA’s format into a mostly-electronic system where reusing and recycling are the only methods used. Beginning with the first year of the Green Policy, RCSA has been using recycled paper for its resolutions, its newspaper, its notepapers and anywhere printing is mandatory. Electronic Forms were used to decrease paper waste during the registration process. Since 2010 the electronic approval panel has been used which minimised the use of paper during the resolution approval process and was a great step towards a less paper-consuming conference where delegates are discouraged from printing drafts and resolutions until they are final. In addition, recycling bins are all around for easy access so participants do not have to make any extra effort to contribute to the Green Policy. Our canvas bag sale with the catch phrase "Canvas Is The New Plastic", has become a tradition that we are planning to resume in the coming years. Green Policy is a serious step in decreasing paper use and waste. We believe we have come a long way to achieve our aim of making RCSA as eco-friendly as can be and we hope to further develop this policy in the future.
